Perhaps because they are literally in close contact with people already confirmed to have the disease on an overwhelmingly regular basis call people hilarious because you can't grasp basic science

I can grasp basic science, you like many others have trouble understanding ppe.

With Covid the use of masks was to protect the person wearing them.

The difference between wearing a mask in a operating theatre is clear to me.

The government said in daily updates when challenged by doctors nurses and and the press we are doing everything we can to get the ppe needed to protect the nhs.

Wearing a mask is to protect yourself and the people around you, but it's well known knowledge tbf that wearing a mask is primarily being advised by the Government so you don't spread Covid to other people if you do have it.
