Good for them. Hold major roads etc hostage until the idiots above see fit to take action about the environment. As long as they make allowances so emergency services can pass through, it's all good.

they block roads solid
forcing emergency services to go another way.

Well I can't condone that, if anyone dies due to the delayed response the blood is on their hands; but the environment is something which needs to be taken seriously, and if blocking roads is what it takes for the government to listen, so be it.
