Guess it will take two or so weeks to get from being infected and requiring hospital treatment ??

Government accused of ‘subsidising reckless behaviour’ with plans for ‘Head Out to Help Out’ scheme...

The government has been accused of attempting to “subsidise reckless behaviour” as ministers are reportedly planning to offer Ł1 fares to get people to use the rail network.

The rail industry has called for a “Head Out to Help Out” scheme similar to “Eat Out to Help Out” which offered a much-needed boost to the restaurant industry last month.

Rail companies are said to be mulling Ł1 fares and a blanket 20% cut to off-peak tickets under the proposed scheme, according to The Telegraph.

But Richard Wellings, deputy research director and head of transport at the Institute of Economic Affairs think tank, said: “‘Head Out to Help Out’ looks like another ill-conceived government scheme to subsidise reckless behaviour.

“Moreover, if the railways' finances are in such dire straits, why on earth are ministers hellbent on wasting Ł100billion on HS2?”

Or that the people getting it now are not getting seriously ill with it as the cases have been rising exponentially for around a month now in Gtr Manchester area and it hasn't yet translated to increased hospital admissions.

We all need to ensure the vulnerable are protected but the more people who get it and recover may help to bring this under control somewhat. I may just be clutching at straws here and am by no means an expert.

We are isolating at the moment as one of my sons best friends has tested positive and my son has been in very close contact with him for long periods (they sit next to each other in class)''..so far so good and no symptoms so hoping we have dodged a bullet......or could have already had it and not known.

I think the main ones getting it are under 30’s and are getting mild symptoms BUT they pass it onto their parents and grandparents.. that’s where the problems kick in .. sadly

The wealthiest people in the country have made a killing during the pandemic, so who should help pay for it?

I don’t see the point of any kind of lockdown if all the schools are to remain open as though nothing has happened

Who's made a killing?

Expect there are more wealthy people who have lost a huge amount of money from the pandemic than there are those who've profited from it
