Most lives don't matter, not to anyone other than those close to that individual, and it's cute that anyone would think they do. It's a joke. People out shouting that black lives matter in the streets of London wearing a sloganed T-shirt made by an 8 year old earning 50p a day if they're lucky. Does anyone care? Maybe, in principle, but not THAT much, we carry on as we are. Again I recognize my relative privilege over ethnic minorities in the west, and all of our privilege over people who spend their entire lives being exploited for peanuts, but it's ALL smoke and mirrors. We all play the damn game.

How about we deal with one issue at a time? Nobody has said or suggested that any race is any further up the greasy pole. Everyone is aware of the problems surrounding consumerism, exploitation and corruption all over the globe. Accepting that there are discrepancies in western democracies is a good place to start in promoting equal rights and treatment for all however.
If we don't support black lives as white people we are just as guilty of perpetuating the norm and nothing will ever change.
