Great idea tbf, wouldn't work here as no household mixing in an indoor setting? or would it as they are socially distant, should work in theory but under the dang rules not sure

Under current rules no but cinemas are currently ****ed no matter what tier/level we're at. Covid could disappear tomorrow but there's going to be a distinct lack of new movies to show for a few years... there are a couple of films baked and ready to serve but basically everything else is delayed in production. Even if like I said Covid went away tomorrow and they could ramp back up to full speed, there's going to be a large "gap" in new releases.

I still see a market, like around Halloween to show a bunch of old horror movies, maybe even some that went to DVD, same at Christmas, just put genres together and see how it plays out

obvs it cant be done due to rule of six but in places where that is not the case it is worth trying

Yeah and after Halloween put in loads of Christmas movies, they'd probably have to reduce prices though

A market maybe but they've tried the "showing classics" thing and it seems the market simply isn't big enough. Cinemas operate on a very thin margin and if they can't generate the income to meet the overheads, they can't function. The "big blockbusters" that fill seats and sell all-important confectionery are necessary to keep the lights on, basically.

well obviously but in times like these you have to try everything surely,

half term kids movies as well to get the kids out, as long as the prices isn't superfleecy
