It did take to be fair, the Lib Dems and the Cons a fair while to agree a governing set of terms.

Some in the Lib Dems were still trying to work out a possible deal with Brown and Labour too.

This isn't about negotiating a deal to govern as to the USA.
It's the voters choice of one in and the other OUT.

Neither Cameron or Brown had an overall majority.

Also in Feb 74, ironically that election was on the parliament channel last weekend.
Heath, rightly resisted going for a period too, until it was clear he couldn't get support to remain PM.

This USA presidential election is only only a straight choice of 2 candidates.

it's not difficult to understand given that turnout has been so poor in previous elections and all sides were re-energised for this one. The categories that went down in that context are actually much further down from last time by about 4% which will affect things. So that basically means that the black vote stayed relatively constant and the other categories saw a relative dip

This is the biggest worry, armed civil unrest. It really doesn't matter if biden or trump wins the election, it's an extremely polarised country and tensions are very high. I was just thinking yesterday, if Biden wins, what are his realistic chances of making it to January without being assassinated by some nut job, there are plenty of them around, many of whom believe Trump when he says Biden stole the election
