she and Eamonn Holmes
were being 'dropped from This Morning' to make
way for first black presenter and
brushed off axe claims only last week
The married presenters will now reportedly
take over from Holly and Phil during their
six-week summer break
Broadcasters Ruth and Eamonn, both 60, will now be
replaced by the show's first black host,
Alison Hammond, and X Factor's Dermot O'Leary
Alison and Dermot are said to have 'real warmth'
and as such are seen as perfect
replacements for Ruth and Eamonn
on the coveted Friday slot
A source claimed: 'Eamonn is pretty furious
and everyone feels for him and Ruth,
they are well liked on the team,
but sometimes tough decisions
have to be made'
Eamonn and Ruth have presented
every Friday on the show since 2006]



So they are back next Summer Holiday.
