Okay, that's a fair answer, and one won't call wrong or dismiss
But ... I don't happen to agree

Someone living today who wants to create something from another culture has nothing to do with imperial wrongs in the past. We are ourselves, not our ancestors.
The imperial past of the Ottoman Empire shouldn't stop a Turkish singer from using Greek music, for example.
