Just to add my two cents... I think there is a comparison to be drawn with the BLM civil unrest tbqfh.
I find those actions far more personally understandable - but there is a huge difference between what is understandable and having empathy for anger... And making allowances for/excusing/encouraging violent uprising. I know that a lot of the BLM protests were peaceful and turned violent because of the actions of the authorities - but its disingenuous to claim that there were none that were deliberately actively violent. It shouldn't be allowed or excused in any form. All it does is legitimise others doing the same. "But my rioters are the good guys" just isn't going to work going forward. It should never have been cheered on as a positive.
