There's plenty of celebrities I don't care about but I don't lie in wait for news about them to pick apart. I prefer to focus on things that actually matter.

When they no longer call themselves the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and stop benefiting from those titles and make it on their own merits, then they will be just celebrities. They have no gravitas or qualifications or experience to rake in the big bucks without their titles. The Obama's they are not.
As long as they sit on their settee in their mansion giving their many hypocritical lectures to date (do as I say, not as I do!) then they are putting themselves out there as public figures influencing public opinion and people have a right to comment on them.
If you just focus on things that actually matter, what do you care what anyone has to say about 2 people you insist are just celebrities? You post in every thread about those 'just celebrities', with no opinions of your own about them- just to tell others what you find weird, obsessive and pointless about their opinions or interest.
Isn't that weird, obsessive and pointless? As we say in Ireland, 'catch yourself on' Dezzy.

Why are they not the 'obamas'... surely by the same principle they are cashing In on old titles to spread some kind of awareness?
He is by birth a prince ... he's given up his birthright.

He will never stop benefitting, he is a royal, strip him of everything and he will still be a Winsor?

Exactly and the same as Diana did after she was stripped of her HRH. He will always be a Prince and the grandson if the Queen, son and brother of the future King.

Just because they are no longer performing Royal duties does not mean those with an interest in all things Royal should stop taking an interest

I was referring to the Obama's gravitas and experience as public speakers....and how Meghan and Harry don't have that behind them as public figures trying to influence the general public with their embarrassing and hypocritical 'lectures'.
The Americans love Royal titles. How do you think a not very bright fella and a z list actress got mega buck deals from Netflix and Spotify?
Neither N or S will be satisfied with their headboy and headgirl lectures and films. They will want more than that out of them for the money.

If they gave up their titles I can't see plain old Harry and Meghan getting many big deals in a few years time. The USA want the TITLES. In fact I think in a few years they will be nobodies anyway once the corporations have had what they want from them - and believe me it isn't their wonderful proven film making talent.

Nothing wrong with being not very bright or a little known actress, not everyone can be top notch...and it IS the truth. what is ooops about it?

...I have no idea what not very bright or top notch is and how they’re being defined ...Albert Einstein, Richard Branson, Deborah Meaden, Simon Cowell, Guy Ritchie, Lord Alan Sugar...and etc, etc....they may all have been defined as not very bright and yet, they’re very top notch people, indeed...there is no ‘truth’, there are many truths and many definitions of ‘bright’...

Indeed, as I said, nothing wrong with not being very bright...but I was asking what the 'ooops' was for?

Academia is not the be all and end all. Harry fought on the front line....he has given injured veterans purpose with Invictus....all worth more than a few qualifications imo.

...I’ve spent a huge part of my life working with children who it would be awful for them to feel that some ‘bright’ adults would think of them as ‘not very bright’ people...because they most certainly have been some of the brightest people I’ve known...

Indeed, but not worth a mega bucks deal when there are many young talented film and documentary makers out there who would give their right arm for a chance with Netflix for a fraction of the obscene amount the Sussexes are being paid. No wonder Netflix has increased their customers subscriptions.

But he has turned his back on all those now and was not allowed to lay a wreath because it was in bad taste so instead had a photo shoot of the hem laying a wreath at a cemetery

As for protecting his mother’s memory, he uses her name and memory now to gain sympathy and keep the cash coming in

They are using racism to pay for their lavish lifestyle

And lots to of people are not fooled by their bollox.

Quite right too...but Harry and Meghan aren't children and this is an adult forum, not a classroom.

...no, they’re two very bright adults so far as I can see, there’s no reason to define them any differently...or even to feel that any personal definition of ‘brightness’ would apply to either of them...

I didn't say Meghan wasn't very bright though.....IMO - if I'm allowed one without being pulled up at every turn - I think she's a very bright hustler and grifter.

...of course, it is just a personal judgement/opinion, though...of what you personally feel defines ‘bright’ and doesn’t make a descriptive of ‘not very bright fella’ a correct one or a ‘truth’ as was said...

Do you think that would bother Diana? I don't. She was a shrewd woman who adored her kids. She would be happy that Harry is doing what he wants and making a success of it.

I agree especially after what she had to endure in that family

Such a cynical and in-depth thought process for a couple you’re not interested in.

I was a big fan of Diana. Charles was rotten to her, the Queen Mother didn't like her, but the rest of the family were very good to her, especially Prince Philip would you believe. Diana adored the Queen and she was very close to Prince Andrew.
I hope people aren't going by the current series of The Crown, if they are watching, most of it is hyped up fiction for dramatic effect .

Nothing bothers Diana now. Harry cashing in on their mothers memory infuriates William though, which is another reason why the brothers are still estranged.

No, I did watch the Crown but I didn't take that as gospel, anything that did peak my curiosity after I watched I checked to see how true it was. Dianas own words said that the Queen was very cold with her after the troubles in her marriage showed and that she blamed Diana for those issues, she told her that her marriage was falling a part because of her Bulimia

"Diana says the Queen eventually considered her to be “a threat”
Despite early warmth from Queen Elizabeth, Diana said that their relationship soured when her and Charles’s marriage began to deteriorate. “I long to get inside her mind and talk to her and I will. I’ve always said to her: ‘I’ll never let you down but I cannot say the same for your son.’ She took it quite well,” Diana recalled. “She indicated to me that the reason why our marriage had gone downhill was because Prince Charles was having such a difficult time with my bulimia. She told me that.” This made Diana realize that the royal family thought she was the sole “cause of the marriage problems, and not one of the symptoms.”
