there is a very real danger of making the problem worse by saying why are [particular group] refusing vaccination because they will just dig their heels in more. it's not mandatory, if they don't want it when offered it, they can opt in later if they want to. The uptake rate will keep going down as they go through the age groups. Also, saying we need x % to get herd immunity is meaningless because it's never going to happen because it needs to apply world wide. If the hospital admissions settle at a low level, then let people live their lives as they choose. It's what we do with every other disease . The only reason there is concern now is the risk that the NHS gets overwhelmed

But it isn't just the bame community , there's white anti vaccinators aswell .

But I'm still wondering why they say Covid is more likely to affect BAME people??. When all kinds of people have been dying from Covid from various backgrounds.

And anyone refusing to take the vaccine is just putting not only themselves but others at risk and it's illogical and silly to refuse it .

I think it's still not thoroughly established if it's due to a genetic thing, or lifestyles.
