Turning your back on toxic family members is not a bad thing, and her family have shown themselves to be incredibly toxic and opportunistic. If any of us were in her position, we'd be lying if we said we wouldn't do the same.
Finally, if that whole side of her family is toxic as seems to be the case with her sister and father then that's not on her, they are toxic because they are toxic and it's just ignorant to place the blame for their behaviour on anyone other then themselves. I do not think you would hold the same views if we were talking about anyone other than Meghan Markle.

You haven’t read my posts properly because I said they WERE invited to her first wedding, but not her wedding to Harry. She froze most of her family on both sides out once she found a bit of fame. The hurt assumption from her family and friends was that she was moving in higher circles, had got uppity and was too good for them.

You are putting the cart before the horse here. It wasn’t their first impulse. At the time of the engagement she point blank refused the Palaces’ offer to send Aides to help her father, who was being hounded relentlessly by paparazzi. She told Harry she had no family - he said during a radio interview that ‘His family was going to be the family she never had’. This made the Markle family very angry indeed. It seemed she didn’t want Harry to meet him or talk to him, at least until the wedding was done and dusted.
Her father had worked his butt off to give her a great education in all the best LA schools where she mixed with the kids of famous celebs, supported her all through uni and bought her an apartment. There are many accounts of that info, including from Meghan herself in her TIG blog.
Her father and half sister in particular were being maligned and misrepresented and started speaking out.
Whatever payment they received, its mere buttons compared to the big bucks Meghan has sold herself for, not on merit, but via the Royal titles, which are supposed to be used for public service, not personal gain.
The wrecking ball all started with Meghan, not anyone else, and its continuing with their disrespect and bitter spats with the Queen, who was particularly welcoming and warm to her. Meghan is the toxic common denominator in all this.
