I swear its upset me a bit, which will explain the randm addition on here, but one of my friends had their 60th a few days back alone as they thought they couldn't see anyone at all. Have now informed them they can bubble with another household, of any size...and this weekend (well, meaning fri coming), they will be seeing their grandkids. And...while its within the rules as she lives alone, some are tearing strips off this woman on facebook. Shes seen noone besides her doctor, since last march. Even when the restrictions let up a lot. Not a soul. AM kind of being demonised a bit for 'encouraging rule breaing' despite it clealy being within the rules, and I wouldn't generally just say 'oh go and see people!!!!!!!!' to her, she was very down about being alone in general, but especially for her birthday, and I told her she can legally do it.
Hence, random addition about bubbles tbh. I am sure you know anyway

...this really has been a year of up and down emotion ...so many people that I know, have worked ‘in close contact’ in a school environment for so much of the lockdown time...but haven’t always been able to celebrate a significant family date, even in an outdoor situation and following safety guidelines...it just hasn’t always made sense and can be so conflicting...I’m so happy that she’ll be seeing her grandchildren but am so sorry she’s having some negative comments on Facebook, Vicky...
