I don't think anyone who would rape a child, or murder someone for example, is ever in a good place

Also surely the PTSD and former abuse..could maybe be used in..say a violent assault case. But not for this.

Its not even like the judges hands are tied with sentencing..as they have a lot of leeway. Too much sometimes..when it seems for the exact same crime someone could get 1 year away and someone else 10 years, depending on the judge involved :S
