You are confused. When people say "it's no one's business but their own" what they really mean is "we should believe what these people are saying, and not make up our own narrative".

People believe Britney when she talks about her relationship with her family.

People believe Meghan when she talks about her relationship with her family.

There is no contradiction.

Meghan Markle's ex-diplomat uncle Michael has died at the age of 82 without 'ever meeting Prince Harry', it has been reported.

Michael Markle - who was known as Mike and is the older brother of Meghan's father Thomas - had been battling Parkinson's disease and had suffered falls in recent years.
'Mike was a lovely, gentle, softly spoken old man,' a source told The Sun. 'He was always happy to be asked about Meghan, but whenever he spoke to anyone he mainly wanted to talk about his late wife - he loved her so much.'
After his wife passed away, Mike is believed to have moved from his home in Oregon to be closer to his daughter where, despite his illness, he maintained his independence living in a trailer community, according to a source…..

Family members from her mothers side have spoken in the past of how hurt they were at not being invited to the wedding and not hearing from Meghan since she became a celeb.

Two completely different contexts. There is a trial in the case of Britney regarding her conservatorship
In Meghan's case, people like to toss this story around, hear "sources" or believe whatever they can find because they just like gossip. There are two sides to every story and their personal relationship is, once again, none of our business.

Now the fact that she became NYT Best Selling author is relevant and I'm not sure how that article about her uncle was any relevant to what this thread is about. But go off I guess.
