Honestly BOTS unless it's very different from school to school or has changed dramatically in the last couple of years this has not been my experience at all. My eldest started high school this year and her Primary School experience was extremely familiar to me as it seemed to be really no different at all to my own Primary School experience (in wonder years of 1990 - 1997). Quite bizarrely so in fact given the 30 year gap between the two. So little has changed .

Like I said though maybe that's not typical? My daughter did go to a rather "quaint" school where the "poverty line" was a lower-middle-class income.

Have you ever seen the movie Call Me Claus with Whoopie Goldberg? , it's a good movie . But anyway I liked how they explained to a child why Santa looks different, the real 'santa' mentioned even being a woman at one point . He's still the same person but he appears in different forms to people.

Which when you think about it makes sense , sometimes he's native Indian, sometimes he's Chinese ,he can be any race . Plus he's also a fictional character so why does it matter.

My son was an early disbeliever but he is in Year 6 now and a lot of his friends still believe. He knew never to spill the beans to his friends and is just quite smug in his knowledge
