... This is a bit of a callous attitude. The West shouldn't necessarily have an obligation to house everyone who wants it, but there's a whole planet out there. The UK is a small island with one of the highest population densities "in" Europe, so while we shouldn't be their destination, there should be SOMETHING in place. Better camps nearer to the places of origin for those being displaced, perhaps.
