I was kinda hoping that the Everton fans would maybe give VVD a bit of a cheer early on just to approve his recovery so I was seriously shocked when they were booing him

No wonder he was so worked up / intense .. at the end demanding to take that direct free kick .

It would have been sweet revenge if it had nestled in the top corner of Pickford’s net .

So there’s a story circulating that Ralf Rangnick has not , as yet, made any contact with Michael Carrick ( no phone calls .. nothing ) !!

Seems bizarre if true unless he’s legally not allowed to with his not having a work permit yet .

So we still don’t know who’s decision it was to drop Ronaldo the other day
