George III (George William Frederick; 4 June 1738 – 29 January 1820)
was King of Great Britain and of Ireland from 25 October 1760 until the union of the two kingdoms on 1 January 1801, after which he was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until his death in 1820 A better time for Ireland under our Nice Care. Indeed..if you were an English Lord of the manor.
The Irish fought and died for their independence, so it must have been a very harsh life for them. Especially with the potato famine, and nobody looking after the starving population. |

There was never a "famine" in Ireland let's get that straight. Better under British rule my arse, the British government killed a million Irish people by starving them

That's not what I'm doing here, my objection in this thread was based purely on the claim made that Ireland was in better hands when ruled by Britain and the claim that there was an actual famine in Ireland when there was not, there was plenty of food in Ireland at that time, the Irish people were starved by greedy mainly English landlords
