people are confusing things. A PCR test will indicate a positive for covid months after you have had it, but you are only infectious for a few days so it doesn't matter. The lateral flow test measures viral load and is very accurate at identifying when a person is
infectious Someone could have caught covid a few days prior to that, but if they are not infectious they are no danger to anyone else. That is the purpose of a lateral flow test
