There are two international airports in kyiv. They have gone for the large one which is way out of the city it’s a good 20 mins in an Uber through forest before you start getting the outskirts of kyiv.

I actually agree that (if we're talking a sliding scale) it's probably more appropriate to compare Putin's current actions to Blair than to Hitler.

However that's still a huge problem and extremely concerning, and frankly far more dangerous because (elephant in the room) the Middle East has been in perpetual conflict for a long time so no one really cares when wars kick off there.

A war on Europe's doorstep is a very different beast.

If you look at shilcot report that investigated Blair’s decision to invade

He was give a rushed verbal account of the situation by mi5/mi6 and added to the fact that he felt he needed to back bush out of a misguided sense of loyalty

The bigger picture is that in the first invasion of Iraq the us troops should of went in and if not killed sadam Hussain he should of been put in prison and not allowed to stay in power

It's a country trying to reclaim historical territory which is exactly what Hitler was doing so the comparison is very apt imo. Remember Hitler said he had no more territorial claims in Europe after the Sudetenland just like at first Putin was going to stop at Crimea, then it was just Donetsk and Luhansk, now it's the whole country

Thank god the other baltic countries are already Nato members
