Im not sure how true it is but I heard rumours that Boogs and Nakamura was scheduled to win the tag titles but the ending was changed after his injury which must suck even bad

I agree mostly.

As cool as it was, it sort of defeats everything he’s done for the past however many years. Cody was the main one who was emphasising this “war” between the companies (the hammer to the throne spot immediately comes to mind) and now is the one who ends up jumping ship?

It’s just a money move obviously and it sucks but hey. AEW is no worse without him honestly.

I personally think he’s doing it because he thinks he has a lot to prove within the company, yes the money was probably a big factor as well because of his family and whatnot, but he pretty much did everything he possibly could have outside of the company and going back to prove that he is absolutely the star they didn’t believe him to be? That could have been a massive draw for him
