Boris did make the law, on the day of one of the parties, he was telling everyone live on TV that they shouldn't mix etc. However, he made everything worse by consistently lying about it. Blatantly he lied to parliament and the british people.
Now, it may be that many think it's not important, but elections will show one way or another, and there is a bunch happening in may, so we dont have long to wait to see what the public think of him
