Horrible, insidious and sustained emotional abuse. The public support of Depp in this is an absolute mess, what he's doing right now with this lawsuit is an extended part of the abuse - there are messages showing this, explicitly stating that this is his plan - what more do people want?

Again, she chose to get into a relationship with an extremely troubled older man with massive personal demons and addiction problems, it suggests not being in the healthiest place herself, but **** me... the people denying that he was abusive when there's documented evidence of it and one court has upheld it already.
