Because scrapping yearly MOT hits mechanics in the pocket, not the government directly. It's a large part of their income...

i do think mot's were more relevant in years gone by when cars used to corrode really badly from 2 years old and brakes were pre servo assisted etc. The tech is much more reliable now. However without checks, it leaves the door open for abuse

in a way labour are worse because they have been calling for Boris to resign knowing all the time that they were doing exactly the same

That is exactly my point .. I can’t abide any of the political parties and I certainly don’t like hypocrisy !! I wonder if Ian Blackwood will be calling for Starmer’s head as he’s been relentless in demanding Boris’s resignation.... I actually hope Boris calls for Starmer to resign just for a laugh ! Deny, Defend, Depose.

I can't stand Starmer - he is the antithesis of everything the labour party was set up to fight for and against, but util there is an investigation to get the facts, then there is a load of wishful thinking in this thread. In a way, something we don't have any details for is a lot worse than over 50 fines

Only if the Tories go for them like Labour have done for the last couple of months ?!? If nobody mentions the latest findings they will just go relatively unnoticed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It’s not even been mentioned by Sky News who couldn’t wait to report all the Tory parties
