They had more or less settled the matter until Depp lost the libel case against The Sun, which put a bee in his bonnet so he decided to go after Heard. There have been messages between him and others that make it clear he, at that point, had no interest in settling out of court and that the aim has been to end her career and reputation.

Both of their careers are substantially damaged; hers now won't take off, and his reputation is wrecked other than with people who are already Depp stans. There's no possible way it's for publicity.

Another thing aswell Vanessa , did you know when she claimed Depp " broke her nose" was also the same day they both attended an award ceremony?.

Her face is all smiles with NOT even a scratch let alone 'BROKEN NOSE' . She would have been in hospital or bandaged up at home if she was injured like THAT.

She quite clearly claims that he did it after the awards ceremony, in an argument they had because he claimed she was flirting with people at the award ceremony. It's things like this that lead me to believe that people aren't actually following this at all, but are just reading things on social media that deliberately misrepresent what's been said, and then go around repeating them as "facts". What on earth makes people believe that "on the same day as" means "before"? Yes she was fine in the pictures of the event. It happened the same day - but LATER in the day .
