Well, as adults we know that. I think you are missing my point completely (if you read my post that is)

My reply was at Parms comments about woke cartoons really but I had read your post. I just don't understand what the issue is.

It's a misleading scene in a children's cartoon. Young boys may think they will get periods and not all will ask their parents about that. It could even lead to them being bullied for being 'stupid' by more aware peers.

There's a lot of hypotheticals there.

The key to tolerance and understanding is education. Like it or not the TV plays a part in educating a lot of kids and these are very real issues in today's society and kids need to be aware of trans issues in order to promote a more accepting society

So you disagree that a man (as perceived by a child) referring to himself as having periods is misleading children?

Why does it even matter?

If this was hair dye we were on about would anyone care? Even though on the box there's a picture of a woman....would this be controversial because it might mislead children?

What's the harm in misleading children? It opens it up to questions. At what age would you expect a child to find out that some transmen use sanitary products?

Well you carry on thinking its okay to mislead some young boys into thinking they will have periods (and misleading girls too) and I'll carry on thinking they shouldn't be misled by the bandwagon jumping Disney for publicity and more money money money.

Good day to you.

I disagree with the cartoon being demonised for presenting real life scenarios that can and do happen.

As I said I am a parent of a similar aged child. I don't let him watch shows I feel are inappropriate, he doesn't have a tv in his room so I am aware of what he is watching and will talk to him about issues I think he needs to know or if I feel he shouldn't watch something. That is where I disagree. If kids are left to watch tv and don't understand or don't ask, that's not the shows fault. Its a parenting issue. Too many parents use the tv as a babysitter and then complain about the shows they're watching rather than explaining things to their kids

Spot on and an extension to what I said earlier about intelligent parents answering any question a child may have. It’s the way of the world no matter what the hateful and bigots want. Instead of hushing up the real world scenarios Disney should be applauded imo.

Agreed.

Agreed
