It's a classic "he can give it, but can't take it". As soon as she fires back, he gets all defensive and plays the victim.

Yeah "i was only joking but now you're being mean and im the victim, look camera, poor little me i was just having a laugh now im being verbally abused, look cameraman, can you see?"

He was obviously really insecure about her fame too, he was seemed so happy that some guy had never heard of her.
