I'm a big space geek, so this is all awesome.

Though the cynic in my wonders why there needs to be a "first female" on the moon - with all the technological advances, is there an actual need for anyone to physically go there, ever again? Arranging the trip just so they can say they sent a woman to the moon does feel a bit of a Pyrrhic victory, especially considering the environmental costs of people going to space. And speaking of costs, somethingsomething spendingenoughtoendworldhunger somethingsomething...

Anyway, I'll just fold up and put away my soapbox on the way out
