I would make sure I protected them as much as possible, get them in to see a therapist who would work through whatever issues they were having. Keep them a way from medicalisation for as long as possible until they really understood the implications of that, if as adults they still wanted to go down that path of course I'd support them and love them, are you suggesting I'd stop loving my own children? I don't even want this discussion, I just post my posts, but you keep it going for some reason. I've told you loads of times I don't want it for this exact reason. It never goes well for irreconcilable reasons. People on my side believe all groups people should be treated with respect, and people on your side view things differently. When positions are that diametrically opposed, there is no way around it, which is why I don't bother.

Whether you think I'm right or wrong, or Graham was right or wrong (on this issue generally), his obsession did cost him his marriage, which is the post you replied to. That was a factual and non-controversial statement.

I'm not interested in repeating this over and over again. Women have always been 2nd class citizens, and you've been kept that way primarily because of one prevailing ideology in the world, and that has never come from people who think like I do. I think that's a non-controversial statement that you would probably agree with.

However, the same ideology that has carefully managed women's suffrage, in the same way that they've managed conditions for other minorities, is now suddenly propping women up to tell them that this other group is attacking them.

The same kind of person, incidentally, that has just stripped reproductive rights away in the US, or that will be the first to write "her skirt was too short" every single time a woman is attacked. These are the people you think are standing up for you, rather than using you to pit against another group. The struggles for women are real and depressing, but not because there is a single trans person on this planet.

There is no logic in the anti-trans movement (apart from sports, as I see it), and not a single thing I say could change your mind, so I did actually want you to feel that whiplash, because I know you're a loving ma who would stand alone against the 7 billion people on the planet when it came to protecting your kids (I just didn't expect you to make that insinuation).

People write all kinds of weird and strange stuff about trans people on here that I ignore, because I don't really give a sh1t, but it pains me when people I like, and that would never dream of attacking any other minority group, feels as though this is ok. The fight is for equality for everyone; we already have a tiered system.

Time is going to tell what happens. Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe scientists will identify a chemical imbalance in 5 hours time, than can be cured with a sherbet lemon, and I'll happily hold my hands up, but what these people are going through is real, and I'd still rather be the person that is willing to offer support rather than piling on.

Anyway, I didn't want to leave it where it was for obvious reasons, so I've replied here, but I probably won't reply on the topic again. I'll just post my posts, and let everyone else post theirs.

Trans people have nothing to do with women? The entire ideology is to redefine the concept of woman, of all genders. You're gaslighting by ignoring that obvious and essential point. Personally if I had a child who thought they were the opposite gender, I would help them come to terms with the reality of being their actual genetic gender, just as I would help with any mental health problem. If someone is suffering from delusional thinking, the absolute worst thing to do is to go along pretending their delusions are real, especially with children. It isn't bigotry just because I don't agree with the religion of wokeism - I practice tolerance. I respect and am kind to all sorts of people who think polar opposite to me. The woke movement should remember what tolerance is rather than accusing anyone who disagrees with their personal beliefs of being a bigot.
