But that can happen to the human body. I remember Bruce Forsyth, always fit as a fiddle, even in his 80s, but then suddenly he was very old and he got a lot of serious medical conditions and went frail and bedbound and then died.

I too could see Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 reaching at least 100.
Your last paragraph is spot on once any infection, or stroke or other condition hits at old age, the risks of not being able to fight it are magnified greatly.
It is really sad.
As has been said yesterday, none of us know if Her Majesty had any other conditions other than only the mobility one which was revealed.
Really sad indeed is her loss, an incredibly long life and her devotion to her duties as Monarch and how she carried all of them out.
Is a great example to all.
