Remembering Kerry
|
I wasn't happy with other events being postponed or cancelled.
However I'm actually engrossed in the TV coverage. It's like being part of history. Her Majesty was Queen of the UK. The Royals could never have been allowed to grieve privately like other families do. There's a demand of a sort from the people wanting to share in this loss. King Charles 111 actually is doing HIS new job too. Taking on the new duties while carrying out the ceremonies of those new duties. We haven't seen this or heard this for 70 years. The King, is being supported in his new job as King by his family and they are all supporting each other in their grieving the loss of their Mother. Recently there's more on other channels now. However I find I'm choosing to watch the build up to the funeral. Plus taking in the transition from the late Queen to a King now. It's NOT their fault. I actually found the 4 of them standing vigil at their Mothers coffin. Both moving and heartbreaking. Plus as Cherie said, I think opinion has changed. I wasn't sure of Charles being King. Now I am. I think he will be a really good Monarch. I now have both respect and admiration for him and how he has carried out everything these last few days. His training from his Mother has clearly been perfect from her. Last edited by joeysteele; 13-09-2022 at 08:35 AM. |
