Billionaires not being taxed enough is directly linked to the collapse of local services though, which is what austerity was. Rather than making the wealthy pay more in the post 2008 financial collapse, the Tories decided to cut their way out of it on the backs of the people with the least. It was a choice that was made as the tories were definite it would cut the debt, but they doubled the debt at the same time.

It was a massive redistribution of wealth from bottom to top, and we saw it again with covid.

Corbyn had a policy to end homelessness with investment, we chose the party that wanted to sonic boom immigrants back into the channel instead We have the choice once in a generation to try and deal with these societal issues, and every time we choose the more cruelty route instead.
