I dont think they have ever slated the queen. They wouldn't, she was the daddy when it comes to world wide popularity...if charles gets as popular they will start kissing so much of charles ass it will cause him to lose half his ear length.

There is a good and enlightening documentary on ITV catchup about Charles:
Charles: The Monarch and the Man 'Jonathan Dimbleby looks back at the achievements of the man who is now our King, how he sought to establish his own role as heir, and what kind of monarch he will be'. He really achieved so much that was never reported on. Quite awesome really. It must have been frustrating in the extreme that the media was more interested in his love life than the untiring work he was carrying out, especially for the disadvantaged and the environment. |

What I think is more likely is that he'll make changes to the roles of counsellors of state (those who stand in for the King if he is indisposed.) Which means Andrew and Harry would lose those roles, which likely would go to Princess Anne and maybe Edward? I'm just speculating too .. |

i think the majority if not all the assets would go to Charles, the dosh will always go to the next in line. It's the titles that generate income. For example William became a very wealthy man overnight when he was handed duke of cornwall. Harry got nothing. Remember how Andrew was scrambling around to raise the cash to pay off his legal settlement, well Harry wont be any different to that

Did Di mention in THAT interview that Charles had Chlamydia smuggled into the palace the night before he married Di ? ( with the Queen’s knowledge and approval !) Imagine if that little snippet has been released into the public domain … Charles would have had to go into hiding ! From Robert Jobson's book 'Charles at 70'. The royal is said to have told a friend: “The idea that this could have happened and that I could have done any such thing is beyond belief and yet this monstrous nonsense has persisted." I believe Charles on this one....and to think that the Queen would have approved is preposterous. |

I see. Well, wont be long before the royal stories are dominated by the rift. I wont be on the side of either, as per.

Harry and William had trust funds set up from the Queen and also from the Queen mother which provides them with an income. Harry received more than William because of Williams future prospects which he has now inherited (the duchy of Cornwall.)

That book was written by his good friend ffs Why is it preposterous when the slimy barsteward waited until the night before the wedding to tell Di that he didn’t care for her ! A bit more notice would have been nice don’t you think !? So given he chose THAT night to break that bombshell to Di it is ENTIRELY conceivable that he also had Chlamydia around to the palace at that time- they were clearly all aware that he was gonna break the poor girl’s heart at that late instance . ::: ‘One of the most shocking things that Diana told me was that the night before the wedding Charles told her that he didn’t love her,’ Penny Thornton announced in upcoming ITV documentary, The Diana Interview: Revenge of a Princess, via People. ‘I think Charles didn’t want to go into the wedding on a false premise. He wanted to square it with her and it was devastating for Diana.’ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by Zizu; 22-09-2022 at 07:19 PM. |

I always thought the royals were treated harshly by the public over Diana. None of us know what went on behind the scenes.
Diana dying was a tragedy that should never have happened and the public response to it was basically a collective version of the five stages of grief. People were lashing out in anger in the week that followed, trying to make sense of it. I don't think there was ever any real threat to the monarchy. |

Royal silence Anger mounts at the silence of the royal family, who are still holed up in the Scottish Highlands. Newspapers vent fury that the British flag is not flying at half-mast over Buckingham Palace and call on Queen Elizabeth to return to London and address her subjects. The papers ask: “Where is our Queen? Where is our flag?”. It says not flying the flag is a “stark insult to Diana’s memory”. The palace’s flagpole is only used when the monarch is in residence, flying the sovereign’s personal flag, which never flies at half-mast. Eventually, the royals leave the sanctuary of Balmoral. When the queen and Philip later visit the flowers outside Buckingham Palace, they are applauded. There is huge relief in royal circles. Elizabeth pays homage to her former daughter-in-law in a live televised speech on September 5. “If they (the royals) fail to heed her lesson, they will bury not just Diana on Saturday — but their future too,” The Guardian broadsheet warns, as nearly a QUARTER of Britons call for the ABOLITION of the monarchy in a poll.
