Why? You can't force a city to open a specific chain of bar/eatery. It's not a human right to have a Babylons and wings platter. I think you've probably just rushed into this without thinking, because no city needs to have the choice of a hooters. They're free to open them, but it's not a necessary choice.

For me I just don't think it's a big deal either way.

I'm gathering that the recent publicity with that U-10's Football team may have actually played a part in the decision, which tbf I can understand.

Neither do I. They seem a bit tacky and of a different time, which is probably why the Peoples Republic of Liverpool rejected it. I wouldn't even say it's anything to do with the U-10's.
