But a former close aide to the Queen told me: 'No question, Lady Susan has been thrown
under a bus and it is a massive overreaction. 'Where was anyone standing up saying, 'Wait a moment, this is a woman who has travelled to every corner of the planet and met people from every ethnic background. Is it really likely that she would be deliberately, provocatively racist?' I don't think so.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/a...e-remarks.html |

The Duke of Edinburgh, was known for his controversial sense of humor and often made remarks during royal engagements that landed him in hot water.
These have included telling the President of Nigeria that he looked like he was "ready for bed" when he wore national dress to meet Prince Phillip in 2003, and comparing Ethiopian art to "the kind of thing my daughter would bring back from school art lessons" back in 1965. During a visit to China in 1986, he also told a British student that if he stayed much longer, "you'll go home with slitty eyes." Most of these comments have come and gone without acknowledgment from the palace. However, The Independent reports that the duke issued a public apology after a visit to an electronics factory in Scotland in 1999, where he said a messy fuse box looked "as though it was put in by an Indian." I’m just glad Harry and Meghan have now been vindicated, what with that former counterterrorism fella coming out about the real and dangerous threat against Meghan and now the in house racism being exposed and proven to be true, hopefully that teaches the haters a stern lesson, it won’t, but it should

Snippers of TV news today -
William Shawcross, former chairman of the Charity Commission says he has known Lady Hussey for 40 years and she has never shown a trace of racism. Suggestions that 83 yr old LH is no longer quite firing on all cylinders and is rather hard of hearing….but Palace won’t say so… Palace say they have reached out to Ngozi to have a conversation with her about it but haven’t heard back from her …..Ngozi says they haven’t contacted her at all. ![]() |

What is there even to say? "We're sorry that you're offended by the lady who no longer works here, have a biscuit"

![]() Meghan only mentioned one instance of what she seen as racism - someone asking what their unborn baby would look like, which hasn't been proven as no name has ever been given. If there had been other instances of racism, do you really believe that we wouldn't have heard of them by now? Do you really think that M&H would have kept quiet about it? |

the woman making the complaints clearly has an agenda. You don't make this much fuss, appearing on morning news channels etc without one

The real issue here is how many people are desperate for this to BE racism
ironically it once again devalues the real fight against racism sad to see |

Asked if she had wanted Lady Hussey to resign or if she would have been content with an apology, Ms Fulani said: "I would have preferred it did not happen...
Ngozi Fulani was questioned about her background by Lady Susan Hussey, Prince William's godmother, at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. The late Queen's lady-in-waiting has since resigned. Ms Fulani likened the conversation with Lady Hussey, 83, to "an interrogation". Ms Fulani later told BBC News: "Now, violence isn't always physical, it can be verbal. "And that felt like violence to me, and when you put your hand in my hair like I'm not even a person - you can just do what you want and say what you want - I don't want to be in your presence Ms Fulani was a guest at the reception representing domestic violence charity Sistah Space when she described Lady Hussey moving her hair to see her name badge, and then challenging her repeatedly to explain where she was from. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Ms Fulani said: "It was like an interrogation. I guess the only way I can explain it, she's determined: 'Where are you from? Where are your people from?'" It does look that way, especially as she has accused the Royals of domestic violence against Meghan in the past and tweeted that not having 'the only black person' on the balcony during the Jubilee was RACIST (her capitals).

This Witch doesn't burn

I just wonder why she didn't put Susan in her place there and then rather than clamming up, also there were two other women there and none of them suggested the conversation was making them uncomfortable, I recall going into work and the caretaker who was probably in his 50s made some comment about the IRA (there has been some atrocity the day before )and even though I was shocked that he felt it was appropriate to say what he said to me as if I was somehow involved due to the sheer fact of being Irish and I was in my early 20s I was still able to put him in his place, not sure she can be that traumatised or violated by what was said in all honesty, she might be angry but tramatised....nah not for me

That is quite a statement to make. Please elaborate. Is there a 'real' and a 'fake' fight against racism? ![]()
