But you would have to agree the UK has taken leaps and strides in combating historical racism. I remember asking the question a long time ago, this country is a heaven for millions of migrants, it's why they come here, from all races and walks of life. As much as im against the class structure and royalty, over all this country is light-years ahead of others when it comes to acceptance and multi culture. It’s come a long way but racism still exists. Not everyone’s going to be aware of the subtleties of covert/institutional racism (and as far as that goes it’s also an unfortunate tale to witness many younger black males, for example now, being seen as an inherent threat when they haven’t actually done anything but want to just get on and mine their business) but there’s no point trying to have an honest good-intentioned discussion about racism while wilfully invalidating black people’s experiences of racism on a more intrinsic level.
