But they could have chosen just about any film / theme yet chose Avatar ...

Presumably the three new movies were influential in that decision...

I liked it in 2D as well but the 3D version was definitely better

I've never seen it 3D either to be fair - I didn't see it in the cinema, I think we watched it on blu-ray.

I read they’re making 2/3/4 more or less all at once - they are then to be shown in cinemas in Dec 2022 , 2023 and 2024

i tried to like the original avatar, but it just didnt do anything for me, so looking at that trailer, it seems to be more of the same

Come on.

My first Post on this thread said Dec 2021
Avatar 2 is out
Newspaper link, told us.

Which would be Great.

The original took about 40 minutes to set the scene and introduce the main characters.. as soon as the the story moved into the Avatar world it was marvellous, I felt

The sequels will be all set in the avatar world which will be amazing imho

It is still the most popular attraction of all the Disney resorts worldwide after 5 years !!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new Avatar 2 promo was viewed 148.6m times on its first day of release, which is more than the trailers for the recent Star Wars movies, The Incredibles 2 or Black Widow got.

Enjoy the Disney extravaganza !!
