I don’t know if you are aware of the reporting of Diana, Sophie, Fergie, Kate and Camilla when they were the latest Royal women. In those early days, they got it every bit as much as Meghan did, from the likes of the Sun and the Mirror.

Fergie was branded ‘The Duchess of Pork’ and ‘The Dumpy Duchess’ because she wasn’t as slim as Diana; they pitted the 2 against each other, mercilessly criticising Fergie’s clothes and hair and ‘uncouth’ personality compared to the perfect Diana. They pitted Sophie against Diana too, her clothes, her ‘chunky farm girls legs’.
Kate was constantly sneered at for ‘waiting around’ for William to propose, Kate’s parents were mocked because they came from miner’s stock and her mother was an air hostess - there were many snide jokes about the ‘commoners’.
On top of that, they were all harassed terribly by paps whenever they were out on private time. That NEVER happened to Meghan, despite the Netflix docu deceiving viewers into thinking she was.

Camilla was called ‘her w****ness’ and ‘the dirty knicker woman’, was heckled constantly and had things thrown at her.

It is no way as bad as it was these days, but now we have social media to contend with - I don’t do social media though so I don’t know what is being said on those sites.
