What is the point in this? Really?

I've ripped into this show before on here. I dont know why anyone would watch the full version never mind this monstrosity.

The show they're using to spread this 'message' is one of the worst on TV. We're really trying too hard in certain areas and not using the best resources to educate young people

And they've almost certainly seen a fictional character die in a film or tv show, but that doesn't justify making them attend a live execution.

What is going on with all these weird naked shows? Before I opened this thread I saw two adds on TV for other shows where the contestants are Naked and Naked attraction wasn't even one of them. So grim. And this one is seriously odd

Yes, they may well have seen performed depictions of sexual encounters, created in controlled environments. And if they've seen Star Wars, they'd have watched multiple shootings and forced amputations.

I don't get the obsession with nudity either, and why is there this attitude of "oh well kids have already seen worse" , isn't that alarming?? even if it's true ?. Plus it doesn't make it ok .

When I was that age in sex education ,we never had live adult models rocking up to classrooms and stripping naked. I understand teaching them about different body types,but this just looks weird.

Also this isn't the first time Anna Richardson had done a 'sex education ' for teens. I remember a while back she was showing teens how STDs are tested and that was pretty graphic . Some of the kids looked traumatised and embarrassed.

The fact that they can (and will have) seen it online isn't the point at all. For one - the issue isn't even kids WATCHING the show, watching something on a screen that features nudity is very different to a child being in the physical presence of a naked adult.

The aim here seems to be to normalise (stranger, non-familial) adult nudity in front of children. It's literally a classic part of grooming tactics. There's also no need at all for it - it's been done to be deliberately provovative. No need at all for any of the people in that room to be under 16, preferably not under 18.

To clarify Sheriff as it seems like you might have misunderstood what my issue was with this show;

It's not that they're encouraging teenagers to watch the show - it's that there is a section of the show where there are young teenagers physically in the room while the adults get naked and they're invited (or prompted) to comment on/ask questions about them.

Again that's very different to seeing nudity on-screen at home.

The idea that a 14 year old can consent. That's the slippery slope that makes this a massive safeguarding problem -- the idea that the only difference between a flasher assaulting a teenager and a perfectly legitimate encounter is consent.
