Second half, but predominantly September-December.
Summer's not as uncomfortable, kids are back in school (peace and quiet), Autumn arrives with it's wonderful colours, everything starts to get cosy, Halloween and Bonfire Night are always fun then you're fully on the "road to Christmas" which I love.
Might be a bit niche but one of my favourite things in the entire world is being inside in Autumn/Winter, nice and warm and cosy with a big mug of something, listening to the sounds of the rain and wind howling outside and against the windows. Particularly if I'm in bed at night too.
