the whole design is done on the cheap. They designed it that way due to the enormous pressure at the depth of the titanic, so the sub would require more expensive parts if it had a hatch. Also, it may not actually be possible to open a hatch at that level, so they would need something more like a tube that the could open/close from side to side rather than opening outward

they have deployed robot vehicles to search, but the search area is massive. Even if it wasn't affected by currents, the area would be huge. The search area is twice the surface area of Connecticut, and they need to find a little barrel in a few hours

In a way, if (God forbid) they're not able to be found, you'd hope that something happened/an accident or something where the sub encountered a problem and whatever happened was very quick, almost instantaneous.

Really holding out hope though.

Sadly, that’s what I’m hoping happened, that they died on an impact or something because being down there since Sunday, it will be torture for three days just sitting waiting to die from lack of oxygen.

I hope they are found.

you need an antenna for gps, and that doesnt work at depth

I’m struggling to believe that this craft was made of old pieces of junk and a second hand games controller … but even they have taken a few short cuts to save money then I’d guess that all their Public Liability insurance will be nul and void meaning the submarine company will be liable for all the compensation claims
