It's like IQ tests - I think intelligence is too multi-dimensional to necessarily be condensed and measured in a single (set of) test(s) - BUT a high IQ is
apparently the number one predictor for workplace success.
Likewise, accurately measuring different aspects of personality and the way individuals' minds work can have some utility, such as selecting what careers someone is best suited for etc.
