Linehan has a lot of personal issues and made himself into a pariah. Lots of comedians with exactly the same public views as him, still all happily working today. I'm sure if he wrote another hit comedy as good as father ted, then he'd find employment, but he isn't, he's writing stand up that would make the winner of this joke competition blush with embarrassment, and attacking everyone and everything he can as he spirals downwards.
His is a human story more than cancellation, but it just so happens that his dehumanisation of others, is what started it.

Again, your first reaction is to come to the defence of these freedom hating authoritarians.
Why not just don't move the Chubby Brown gig? and let those who want to go see him go and those that don't want to see him don't go? Do free people not deserve that choice? Or do we need an authoritarian to decide that for us? Because somehow they're better equipped of what each of us need?
