I went to a screening and q&a for The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light a week or so back, which is a film written, directed, composed by and starring Mike Skinner (The Streets). It weren’t great tbh and I had to pay £8 for a pint but got to meet Mike afterwards and hear the new album a week before its release so was a good experience overall.

Cold Brook. On Prime starring Kim Coates and William Fichtner. A ghost story but different from most "ghostly" films I've seen. Really enjoyed it, 9/10

Heat Robert di Niro, Al Pacino... and just about every brilliant actor in Hollywood in the 90s. Never seen it before, not sure how I missed it. Perfect. 10/10

I hadn't been to the cinema in years! In the spirit of Halloween I went to see Saw X a couple of weeks back and 5 Nights at Freddy's yesterday.

was a fairly enjoyable horror, starring Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried


gross death scenes too

Jack Frost (1998)

Always saw the trailer for this on practically every video release in the late nineties/early noughties, but until yesterday, had never actually watched it. It was decent family entertainment and I enjoyed it. Though it helps that to be a Michael Keaton fan in the first place.

Anybody caught David Fincher's latest "The Killer" on Netflix yet? Assassin thriller with Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton.

It's on my list for this weekend hopefully...

…Girl Most Likely…the storyline itself didn’t hold anything new or original …but Kristen Wigg for me lifts any movie she’s in and the characters were fun and a lovely cast…oh, Annette Bening as well……7/10…


…Cold Pursuit…104yr old Liam Neeson kicking ass in the snow…it was what it was…6/10…


…Focus…slick crime/con artist flick…a bit predictable when the cons were coming but a fun movie …7.5/10….

She knows that there's scores away from 8, 9 & 10.

Cold Pursuit & Focus sound interesting, I don't know enough about Girl Most Likely to speculate on what I would think of that Film tbf.
