I just can’t stand corruption of any kind .. Even in the first fight where Cameron was totally dominantly throughout the whole fight one of the three judges scored it a DRAW. ! Now we get more shenanigans in last nights cards … both sets of fight cards favouring the home town fighter . Taylor only got a rematch clause inserted in her first fight contract due to £££££ - she wasn’t entitled to one .. Why are all three fights in HER own country ?? Because she's the money draw and she's fought in England plenty of times, in fact these last two fights were the only fights she's had in Ireland professionally. And whether one judges card was off or not, she very clearly won the fight

…I wasn’t sure which thread to put this in so I’ll put it here…bringing some much needed light to Dublin and the people of Ireland right now…
…Katie Taylor stepped up and gave Ireland a well-needed boost on Saturday night following the events of recent days in Dublin. In front of a sold-out 3Arena, the 37-year-old secured the greatest victory of her career by beating Chantelle Cameron to avenge her loss to the English fighter from earlier in the year. It has been a dark few days for the country following the shocking stabbing incident in the capital on Thursday and the riots and looting that followed. But Taylor put a smile on a lot of people's faces as she defeated Cameron via majority decision to become a two-weight undisputed world champion. Praise poured in for the new super-lightweight champion on social media and beyond following the bout and Taylor admitted she was heartbroken to hear of the stabbings earlier in the week. When put to her that her win had given people so much joy after a tough few days, Taylor responded by saying: "Well, if that's the case, I'm very happy with that. She continued: "I was heartbroken to hear about the stabbing of five and six-year-old kids. It's absolutely cowardly and I can't even fathom what those families are going through. I'm very happy to be a light in the country at this moment and my heart's going out to those families, genuinely." https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/oth...ilies-31530240 Last edited by Ammi; 27-11-2023 at 08:45 AM. |
