I started rewatching CSI: NY again. Probably my favourite of the CSI’s but I kinda forgot how dark the first season was compared to the second and onwards.

Been rewatching the Blackadder series recently. Contrary to popular opinion, everyone in my family always rated the first series pretty highly. I've always described it as being like The Three Stooges meets Monty Python, what with Blackadder himself being closer to Percy and Baldrick on an intellectual level. I've always found the third series to be the least good. Though having rewatched it, I might be reversing course a little on that opinion. I think II might now be my least favourite.

I didn’t like the first series at all … they must have been shocked to be offered the chance of Series 2 !!

I wonder why they changed the Blackadder character quite so much ?

Well weirdly enough, the original pilot episode has Blackadder being the usual sort of snarky wit we see in II onwards. For whatever reason, they changed him into being a bit of a weaselly slimeball in the first series proper. IIRC, Richard Curtis has since claimed that they wanted to show him evolve over the course of the first series into the (relatively) cunning wit everyone's more familiar with now. And I can kind of see that. If you rewatch that first series, though he's still a far cry from the Blackadder we're all used to, he's definitely on his way to becoming that kind of character by the time of the first series finale.

I finished watching Silo on Apple TV.

Pretty good, though it took a long time to get to that final scene.

Tbf most Shows aren't going to be grabbing within the first 5-10 minutes.

No offense, but you might need to be a bit more patient with the Shows.

I've watched the pilots of both Silo and Blue Eye Samurai.

I'll say that both of them have potential, I think that Silo did better on the worldbuilding and overall plot, but Blue Eye Samurai did the better job on characterization and action imo.

As more of a plot person, it gave the edge to Silo for me on which Show has the better pilot.

Out of interest what kind of Shows have you been watching? And what type of Shows do you normally like?

Because I find nowadays that trailers don't help much with knowing if a Show is going to be for you or not, so maybe getting an idea of what you normally like might help get you some recommendations that might suit your tastes better.

I wish it were that simple as well.

If you like Slow Horses then you might like Spooks if you haven't already seen it, I mean as I haven't seen Slow Horses myself I'm probably off base on what it's like.

According to IMDB, they say that if you like Slow Horses then you'll have a shot at liking these particular Shows.

For All Mankind - IMDB Score - 8.1/10
Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters - IMDB Score - 7.1/10
Hijack - IMDB Score - 7.4/10
Silo - IMDB Score - 8.1/10 - I've watched the first four episodes, and so far I would say that it has the most interesting Sci-Fi plot since The Expanse. So I can testify myself that Silo has some decent quality to the series if you haven't already seen it.

Fargo - IMDB Score - 8.9/10
Black Bird - IMDB Score - 8.1/10
Reacher - IMDB Score - 8.1/10 - I don't know how you felt about 24 BOTS, but if you liked 24 then you'll have a shot at liking Reacher. I personally enjoyed the Show is all I can really say.

Ted Lasso - IMDB Score - 8.8/10
Severance - IMDB Score - 8.7/10 - Again like Silo it's not perfect, but the plotting is a damn sight better than some of the stuff that Streamers are throwing out there imo.

A Murder At The End Of The World - IMDB Score - 7.2/10
Bad Sisters - IMDB Score - 8.3/10
Shrinking - IMDB Score - 8.0/10

Oh and one that I would personally recommend away from the Streamers is From, it's nothing really like any of the Shows above, but it is a good Mystery driven Show about a bunch of people who are trapped in a Town and the goal for the group is to find a way out, and who or what is causing them to be trapped in the Town in the first place.

From also has the Actor who played Michael from Lost in the Show.

they have just fed you back apple tv shows which is quite funny. There are some good shows on apple tv that i do like, but whats more important, and this applies to the excellent Slow horses, is that the acting is superbly done and the writing/stories are top notch.
