Yes I know of course "We elect the party not the PM" but let's face it the Prime Minister role in the UK is increasingly presidential, and I don't think the British public would ever have chosen him. It also totally undermines his authority as a leader on the world stage.
And it's worse than just him being voted into the position by the party because the "publicly elected" PM had to go - the leadership was all over the place with the whole Truss debacle... he ended up in the PM position by default and lack of options. A terrible situation.
