For some reason the British Isles in general gets lumped in with the UK on polls like this.

Don't ask me why, because I have no clue as to why, but it's what happens fairly often.

Of course it is. No one in Ireland would use that name, we are not British Isles tyvm

Not that it would ever be used much but The Atlantic Archipelago, British and Irish Isles (we also have many Irish Islands off Ireland) or in Politics I believe they just refer to them as "these islands" when it's British/Irish discussion
