Brad hasn't been a very nice boy post-separation, Angelina Jolie Pitt went back to Jolie so it's not surprising if the kids want their names to match if they're not a fan of Dad.
Funny story: This applied to a kid at my high school, but his mother (whose surname had been Colins) had named him Colin. His siblings all changed their names, but he had to keep his, because otherwise he'd have been Colin Colins. The fool made the mistake of telling this story at school, so obviously, was then known as "Colin-Colin - so good they named him twice" for the rest of high school. |

#1 having the same name isn't a condition of an inheritance, nor is it a guarantee of one
![]() #2 While Pitt's fortune is somewhat larger, Angelina Jolie is independently worth something like $150 million. I don't think any of them actually need his money. So whether or not he's petty enough to cut his offspring out of his will is down to Brad. If he is, then that's just further confirmation that they're making the right choice by distancing themselves from him. Good people and good parents would be sad and regretful if something happened that made their children want less to do with them. The ones who get bitter/angry about it? Yeah... that's the reason your kids don't visit .
